Spirited Away
A girl trapped in the world of strange gods grows in order to recover her parents and herself.
Plot
On a move with her family, Chihiro stumbles into a space ruled by the rules of gods rather than humans. When her parents break a taboo and are transformed, Chihiro must work in a bathhouse to survive, her name taken from her. There she meets Haku, Yubaba, No-Face, and other strange beings, and gradually learns responsibility and courage in place of fear. The work tells the process of a child passing through an unfamiliar society and recovering her identity and relationships, in mythic imagery and fantastic spaces.
