Every sorcery has a manageable limit. The human body and mind cannot accept infinite power; exceeding the limit causes collapse.

Domains that shake 'the structure that holds the world together' — total annihilation of the soul, reversing time, distorting world law — are mostly classified as taboo. Taboos function past ethics as balancing devices for the worldbuilding itself.

MoonWiki judges taboos by considering not only the destructiveness of the effect but also the degree of damage to world balance and the irreversibility of the cost.
