Demonic Cult
The Demonic Cult is the canonical opposition of the wuxia genre — the third side of the orthodox–unorthodox–demonic axis. Their defining doctrine is liberation: they reject the orthodox group's restraint precepts and treat the full unleashing of inner power as the highest goal.
Demonic Cult arts pursue power without limit. Where orthodox sects bind themselves with conduct codes that restrict operation, the Demonic Cult removes those restrictions to access techniques the orthodox cannot. This produces some of the most powerful individual masters in the genre — and some of the most self-destructive.
