Plot
The young warrior Ashitaka brings down a cursed boar god that attacks his village, but is himself cursed in the process. Setting out to find the curse's origin, he witnesses a world where humans expand by destroying the forest. In the conflict between Iron Town — the human city that produces iron — and San, the girl who lives with the forest gods, Ashitaka tries to find balance rather than picking a side. This story unfolds around the themes of nature and civilization, humans and gods, destruction and coexistence.
