The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Bethesda Game Studios Bethesda Softworks 2011 Released
PCPlayStationXboxNintendo Switch

Bearing the soul of a dragon, the Dragonborn stops the world's end amid the chaos of the north.

Overview

Skyrim, in northern Tamriel, is split by civil war between the Empire and the Stormcloaks, and an ancient threat long forgotten is waking again. The player survives a dragon attack moments before execution and learns that they are 'Dragonborn,' capable of absorbing the power of dragons. Exploring cities, guilds, and ancient ruins, they master the dragon language and its power and ultimately face Alduin, who would devour the world. Skyrim's draw is not only the main narrative but the conflicts of guilds, cities, and races, the freedom of roleplay, and the sense of adventure. The player can be a hero — or a thief, an assassin, a wizard — living the northern world in their own way.
